This community of support for disabled children started in one of our kitchen’s, Jane’s, and it kept growing as we grew in activities we provide. We now deliver our service to more than 130 children and young adults in our own building.
Our centre in Morecambe offers support activities, play, and social time – we also know that everyone is unique and that one size doesn’t fit all. Our OFSTED registered childcare services for disabled children and their families offers the support and the activities needed for your unique children. Since 2016, we’ve expanded our service to young adults from 16-25 years old with 4Ever Unique.

Since 1988, East Cheshire Hospice has been caring for people suffering from life-limiting illnesses. We put our patients, their carers and families at the centre of everything we do, and our expert medical treatment is only the start of the holistic care we provide.
2018 marked the 30th anniversary of the opening of East Cheshire Hospice. For more than 30 years we have relied on the generosity of our community to help us care for local people who are facing the toughest challenges of their lives. We prioritise each patient’s needs and wishes, aiming to improve overall quality of life with practical assistance, emotional and spiritual support. At a time when family is so important, we also support carers and relatives with social and family services, counselling, complementary therapies and much more.Less than 17% of the Hospice’s funding is from the government and the remainder is funded independently through the generosity of the local community. We need to raise £7,500 each day to keep East Cheshire Hospice running.Thank you to everyone who has supported the Hospice over the last 30 years, we simply would not be here without your kindness.

Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity is a registered NHS charity which supports the excellent work of Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We do this by providing funding for state-of-the-art equipment, new facilities and all the added extras that make people’s experience at our hospitals and in our community services the best it can be.
We couldn’t do any of this without the ongoing support, hard work and generosity of our local communities who donate to, and fundraise for, the charity. Our current major appeal aims to raise £100k to build a dedicated children’s waiting area at Victoria Infirmary, Northwich. By providing a calming, child friendly environment we can help to relax and distract children of all ages, so that their experience is the best that it can be. By providing this space we will also be able to help relieve the stress and worry parents and carers experience when bringing their child to hospital.
Rosemere Cancer Foundation raises vital funds to support world-class cancer care throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria, for the benefit of patients treated at the regional cancer centre at Royal Preston Hospital, or at the cancer units at Royal Blackburn Hospital, Burnley General Hospital, Chorley and South Ribble Hospital, Blackpool Victoria Hospital, Furness General Hospital, Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Westmorland General Hospital.
The Foundation works in partnership with local clinical staff, and our charitable funds help to purchase cutting edge equipment (such as our recent £1.3m installation of Surface Guided Radiotherapy equipment at the Rosemere Cancer Centre), support life-changing patient welfare initiatives, back local cancer research projects, and facilitate innovative training for clinical staff. The projects we fund are outside the scope of normal NHS provision, and wouldn’t exist were it not for the kindness of our donors, fundraisers and volunteers – but they make a real difference in the treatment and care received by local patients.
Trinity Hospice has provided excellence in specialist, compassionate care on the journey towards the end of life on the Fylde coast for more than 30 years, touching the lives of around 8,000 local people every year. Trinity helps people live life to the full, and live well right to the very end.
Demand for its care keeps on growing and its services continue to evolve to meet changing expectations.Open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, Trinity is rated ‘outstanding’ and is proud of its modern facilities and high standards. But Trinity is more than a set of buildings – its nursing teams work at the hospital and out in the community day and night, covering every part of the Fylde coast. It costs more than £9million to run all of Trinity’s services each year, which are provided completely free of charge to everyone who needs them. But with little help from the government, it must continue to call on its community – the people it cares for – for support.
