Headline Charity Partner

Army Benevolent Fund is the Army’s national charity, here for soldiers, former soldiers and their families for life.

We are one of the largest funders in the sector, supporting 60,000 people in 63 countries last year. We award grants to individuals and families, and provide essential funding to leading charities and organisations that support the Army family. When we hear of a person or family in need, we aim to respond within 48 hours.

Our 3 other key partners

Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises vital funds to help make Alder Hey Children’s Hospital a truly world-class, patient-friendly hospital for the 330,000 patients and families we care for every year.Since 2013, over £65m has been raised for a range of life-saving medical equipment and facilities that are making a real difference to families every day – but we still need your support.

We need your support for our Surgical Neonatal Appeal. Our new Appeal is for a state-of-the-art unit for newborn babies in Liverpool, and was launched by Liverpool Legend Jamie Carragher. Jamie, who was treated at Alder Hey’s neonatal ward for the first six weeks of his life, launched the appeal to raise £3m for the new Surgical NICU on behalf of Alder Hey Children’s Charity in September 2021.The new Surgical NICU is a joint project between Alder Hey and Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust as the Liverpool Neonatal Partnership. The new unit is planned to offer 22 neonatal cots, including 8 ICU and 13 HDU cots and will feature 18 individual family rooms where parents can be alongside their poorly new-borns whilst they’re receiving expert care.

An amazing experience with epic obstacles and lots of mud amd laughter along the way. Brilliant marshals throughout the course. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a challenge or team bonding activity.

I've marshalled a few of the obstacles on both events and the atmosphere is always brilliant. Everyone covered in mud, working hard as a team (or those that get adopted by other groups!) but plenty of laughs and smiles. It really is great to be a part of.The team work really hard to to make it a great experience and the attention to detail is obviously really important. After all that...the after party is always a banger and well worth hanging around for!

Born survivor was something else. It was probably the most challenging thing I’ve ever done but so rewarding and satisfying at the same time. It’s something for everyone to push themselves to there own limits. #believe #achieve

I have taken part in both Born Survivors in 2019; Capesthorne Hall and Lowther Castle. Both events were well organised, all staff were friendly and helpful. The courses were fantastic, lots of mud, water, challenging obstacles!!! But most all everyone had fun, helped and encouraged those that struggled, a really fabulous team event!! Already signed up for 2020 👍
